I. Core Working Principle
The core of valveless filters lies in their "valveless" design. Its operation process is fully automated
Filtration stage: The water to be treated passes through the high-level influent distribution tank and flows from top to bottom through the filter layer (such as quartz sand, anthracite), where impurities are retained. The clear water then enters the bottom clear water tank through the connecting pipe for storage. As the filtration proceeds, the resistance of the filter layer gradually increases.
Siphon backwashing stage: When the resistance of the filter layer causes the water level in the siphon tube to rise to the set height (i.e., the head loss reaches the predetermined value, usually 1.5-1.8 meters), the siphon auxiliary tube will trigger the main siphon tube to form a siphon. At this point, the clear water in the water tank is flushed from bottom to top through the connecting pipe in the opposite direction to the filter layer. The powerful water flow lifts up the trapped impurities and discharges them into the sewage well through the siphon pipe. The flushing process does not require external power.
Resumption of operation stage: When the water level in the clear water tank drops to a specific position, the siphon is automatically disrupted and backwashing stops. The system immediately and automatically resumes the filtering state and enters the next operation cycle.
